Reef Industries Works with Distributor to Help Fight COVID-19

COVID-19 has altered the way we live our daily lives. Over the last two months states have implemented lockdown measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus. During these uncertain times various companies have stepped up to help their communities and assist those on the frontlines.

Reef Industries is doing their part to help with mitigation efforts within the Houston/Pasadena area. Reef Industries is working with long-time distributor, Blastbag, to create PPE (personal protective equipment) for medical personnel by providing clear plastic for face shields. 

Under normal circumstances, Blastbag uses lasers to cut containment materials. Blastbag is now using their equipment to produce face shields in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Face shields, along with other protective equipment, help reduce the risk of medical personnel becoming infected with coronavirus.

“This opportunity is unique and we feel as though we are called to fulfill our duties toward our fellow Americans. We take great pride in knowing that we are doing our part to help with relief efforts,” says Dennis Olheiser, VP of Reef Industries. 

Healthcare professionals have asked for supplies to make up for the nationwide shortage. Reef Industries and Blastbag are answering their call.
